How it works

Two canvases. The first holds the background fill — your source image scaled to cover the target frame, then blurred / mirrored / averaged / solid-coloured. The second holds the original photo placed cleanly on top, sized to fit (no crop) or fill.

The default "blurred copy" preset is what TV broadcasters use for vertical phone clips — it keeps the colour palette consistent and looks intentional rather than letterboxed.
