GameStop Power Packs — the platform where cards are pulled live on stream

Watching a GameStop Power Packs live stream is one of the best ways to understand what Power Packs are all about — and it costs you absolutely nothing. Whether you're curious about the product, thinking about booking a pack, or just looking for a fun community to hang out with on a weeknight, here's how to get started.

Where to Watch

Roaring Sensei streams simultaneously across three platforms. The stream content is identical on all three — pick whichever one you prefer:

YouTubeyoutube.com/@RoaringSensei
The main room. Best for Super Chat interaction, chat replay on VODs, and setting reminders for upcoming streams.
X (Twitter)x.com/RoaringSensei
Great if you're already on X. Live audio and video directly in your feed.
Twitchtwitch.tv/roaringsensei
Classic live stream experience with Twitch chat, emotes, and channel points.

How to Know When a Stream Is Happening

Stream dates are announced in advance across all platforms. The best ways to stay in the loop:

  1. Check roaringsensei.com — the homepage always shows the next scheduled stream with a countdown timer
  2. Follow @RoaringSensei on X — stream dates and Power Pack drop schedules are announced here first
  3. Subscribe on YouTube and hit the notification bell — you'll get an alert when the stream goes live or when a waiting room opens
  4. Set a reminder — YouTube's scheduled live streams have a "Set Reminder" button that notifies you before the stream starts

What Happens During a Stream

Here's the typical flow of a Roaring Sensei Power Packs stream:

Pre-Stream

A waiting room or lobby goes live before the stream starts. This is a chance to chat with the community, hype up the packs, and get settled. On YouTube, you might see a trailer playing in the waiting room.

The Openings

Once the stream goes live, packs are opened one by one on camera. If you've booked a pack, your name (or handle) is called out when it's your turn. The card is revealed in real time — everyone in chat sees it at the same moment you do.

The Reveals

Each card is shown clearly on camera — the Pokémon, the PSA grade, and the estimated market value (typically via Card Ladder). Chat reacts in real time. Big hits get loud. Even modest pulls get love. It's the closest thing to being at a card shop with friends, from your couch.

Giveaways

Roaring Sensei runs free giveaways during every stream. You don't need to buy anything to enter — just be in the live chat. Winners receive a Power Pack opened live on their behalf, completely free.

Community Chat

Live chat is active throughout. The community is welcoming — whether you're a first-timer or a regular. There's no gatekeeping, no toxicity, just people who like cards and good vibes.

Do I Need to Buy Anything?

No. Watching is completely free, always. You only spend money if you choose to book a pack for yourself. Many viewers watch regularly without ever buying a pack — they're there for the entertainment and the community. That's totally welcome.

How to Book Your Own Pack

If you want your own pack opened live on stream:

  1. Visit roaringsensei.com and check what packs are available for the next stream
  2. Choose your pack tier — Starter, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, or Lunar
  3. Fill in your details including your PSA account information
  4. Pay securely — booking is done through the website
  5. Show up on stream day and watch your card get revealed live

Pack slots are limited per stream and they sell out fast — especially for higher tiers. Booking early is recommended.

Booking cutoff: Bookings close 12 hours before the stream. Plan ahead for popular streams and higher tiers — they sell out fast.

Stream length: Typically 3–5 hours depending on format. Relaxed rips run shorter, tournament and giveaway streams run longer.

PSA Vault — what you need before booking:

  • Pulling directly at powerpacks.com: When you sign up at powerpacks.com, a PSA Vault is automatically created for you. No separate setup needed.
  • Booking a pull through Roaring Sensei's streams: When booking, you'll need to provide your PSA Collectors ID and email address. You can get these from either your powerpacks.com account, or by creating a free account at psacard.com.

What If I Miss the Stream?

Streams are typically saved as VODs (video-on-demand) on YouTube, so you can watch the replay at any time. Your card is still transferred to your vault regardless of whether you're watching live — but being there live is half the fun.

Get Started

The next stream date is always posted on the Roaring Sensei homepage. Follow on socials, set a reminder, and show up. No pressure, no cost, no commitment. Just good cards, good people, and a good time.

Next up: During every reveal, a dollar value appears next to the card. That number is critical — it determines Instant Buyback offers and your card's worth. Here's how it's calculated → What Is Card Ladder?
